The cabin filter — impact on health and air conditioning

4 min read

The cabin filter cleans the air you breathe in the car. It’s an element important not only for comfort but also for health — especially for allergy sufferers.

How often to change the cabin filter?

Usually every 15,000–25,000 km or once a year, ideally before the pollen season. In a dusty city it’s worth doing more often.

Symptoms of a worn cabin filter

  • Weaker airflow from the ventilation vents
  • An unpleasant smell in the cabin
  • Windows misting up faster
  • Worse allergy symptoms in the car

A dirty cabin filter also reduces air-conditioning efficiency. If you smell mustiness from the vents, consider an air-conditioning service with disinfection.

We’ll change the cabin filter during the oil and filter change — quickly and at your address.
